A quick hello - my name (as you probably already know) is Elias David Ginsberg - award-winning cinematographer, adjunct professor, Guinness lover, and avid reader (preferably fiction, but I’ll try anything twice).

I’m a Chicago-based Director of Photography and native Midwesterner from Omaha, Nebraska. I spent 9 years in LA learning my craft, 4 of which I spent at the USC School of Cinematic Arts' TV and Film Production program.

In 2020, I received the ASC Student Heritage Undergraduate Award, one of the most prestigious awards a young cinematographer can receive. Soon after, I began teaching Cinematography as an Adjunct Professor at my alma mater, and was one of the youngest faculty members to be hired.

When not working, I can usually be found mixing cocktails and cooking dinner with friends, driving well out of my way for a decent bagel (Chicago needs to step up their bagel game), or holed up in a coffee shop with a book.

For general information and rates, don't hesitate to reach out.  Let's get to work!
